2024 Request for Proposals

2024 Request for Proposals

Harrison Avian Research and Conservation Collaborative (HARCC) was organized as a non-profit corporation in 2022. Its mission is to be the global resource for investigating the effects of environmental, dietary, and human influences on the long-term sustainability of captive and wild bird populations. HARCC is now accepting proposals for 2024. This RFP focuses on innovative avian medical topics such as nutrition, behavior, shelter, diagnostics, and surgical methods that can be used in daily routine practice and/or to further the understanding of these topics. Grant funds are available to researchers actively engaged in this type of research.

The funds can be used for the following purposes to support HARCC’s mission:

to initiate an appropriate research project that has immediate relevance to a practicing avian clinician

to extend an existing research trial

or other research related activities

The grant will provide a maximum of $100,000 in funds for all projects for 2024. It is anticipated that a number of applications with budgets of $15,000-$20,000 for a one-year project will be funded. Indirect costs will not be covered by these grant funds. The depth and extent of the project and proposal detail must coincide with the amount requested.
